Here is Page 5. Trial and error. We
had to lower the track boards for train clearance under the
town. A shorter train (one car short)
will be used this year. Won't be seen much, but at least
there is a running train.
Oh yes, I promised a picture of my
'Thinking Pail'. Here it is. I usually have a thinking chair...but
the pail did a better
job this year.
I would 'never' show a guest under
the display! What a mess.
This area is on the south side of the
fireplace. We didn't think we would have room for the residential
area, but it worked out.
I'm looking at a way to have the airport
as well. It's a streach, but might be possible. It's always a
big hit. Won't take much
room, but we will see. Our tree will
be where the Snow Village Boxes are sitting...so very little room
left.
The Country Church is one of our favorite
churches. It just wouldn't be the same without it.
These are the houses we are using,
plus one more that isn't in the pictures.
The doctor's house
This is what we refer to as the Mayor's
house. It will have a circle driveway and a fountain in front.
Our usual farm house started flaking
paint on the roof a couple of years ago. Last year it looked pretty
bad, so we have
substituted this one for the farm.
I like this little piece. If you look
close you will see that this is really Santa's Sleigh. His coat
is hanging on the nail.
Another picture of the church with
Drew's Tree House in the background. Drew is our oldest grandson.
The trains in our
display are his. We appreciate him
letting us use them each year. Drew, we love you!

Now on a side note about the pictures
above. As we have always said before, building our display is
by trial and error.
We have already rearranged some of
the buildings shown above. We will keep you wondering until the
next page
is put on the site. Check back in a
day or so for another update.
Thanks for visiting with us.
