The Beginning

The furniture has been removed. The first of a series of saw horses and boards have been placed. So far, there

are two levels. The board to the left (highest) will be part of the residential area. The Convent and Church will

be slighly lower and to the right.

Here I am hanging the backdrop for the display. The paper was purchased from a local school supply store. What you

don't see is Virginia....she took the picture and held the paper as I attached it.

After the backdrop was hung, we needed to get the angels up and the Kinkade plates and holder. Once we get boards in front

of the backdrop....we can't get to the wall

I pulled back some so you could see my fireman helper and my 'thinking chair'. I always think better sitting. I think it causes more

blood to reach my brain. Actually this is where all the plans are developed. I sit back and in my mind decide where things will be.

We have now placed some buildings on the various levels to see how they will be positioned. Also the light behind the

higher level has been attached which will provide uplighting. This will give the appearance dusk or dawn

A tad blurry, but you can see the sun light better to get an idea of what it will look like. Once it is darker in the

room, trees and rocks placed behind the houses, it will look better.

Haylie has arrived and is helping Papa hang clouds. This is done with fiber fill and a hot glue gun. You will note that she has

gloves on to protect her hands. This is a good idea for anyone using a hot glue gun. Okay Papa, where are your gloves?

Once some glue is placed on the fill, it is held lightly on the backdrop.

Someone is having a bad hair day. Wonder who it is?! It's a little hard to tell in this picture, but some gray and a slight

amount of black spray paint has been put on the fill to give more realisim to the clouds.

Another shot of my helper today.

This picture shows the gray/black on the clouds. More clouds will be added on both sides
