Day 6 of Construction
The first 'frost' has arrived at Heather Ridge. All
the ground is white...or will soon be white
Actually we are painting the boards white so that when
our 'snow cover' is sprinkled the brown on the boards will be
easier to hide
In addition to the boards being painted white, we have
cut out and placed the pond. We will use a small fountain pump
to
recirculate the water down the waterfall.
This picture was taken after all the track was laid
for the train
Another view. Most of the town is now laid out. On
the next page you will see us drilling holes for light cords.
We
have decided to do this inside this year. We have a
trick that helps keep the saw dust from being spread all over
the display
and will demonstrate that in pictures that follow.
The recreational area above the falls has been painted.
Not a good shot, but a close up of the Christmas Santa
Fe Express Locomotive
In this picture you can see the rock work below the
church and near the road. Also fence has been positioned in
front of the Nantucket Renovation House along with
lighted lawn decorations (candles)
A closer view
The train will go into a tunnel at this location under
the top level.
