We continue our construction on Day 5

This is a close up of our top level. Behind the green house is a 'greenhouse'....then comes the Cumerland on the

corner. It has a fountain (frozen) with a circle driveway

The driveway will eventually be graced with a 'pink cadillac'. The red VW will be driven to a house down the street. I immediately purchased the

VW as my first vehicle was a 1963 red (and I mean 'red') VW Bug. I often wish I still had that car.

Down the street is the next level with 3 houses. The telephone poles are a nice touch.

Another virew

Standing tall on the display is the Heather Ridge Water Tower. It's the highest point on the display

We have started placement of the recreation area. The Smokey Mountain Retreat (upper right) actually has smoke coming

out of the chimney. This level will have the start of the waterfall which will drop into a lake on the next level.

In this picture you can see the road leading from the 2nd residential level with the Convent and Church in the background.

Reconfiguration of the buildings and accessories constantly take place. Once I place a piece, I return to my 'thinking chair' and

decide if anything needs to be moved. Below the boards on the carpet is my power board. I'll be able to switch off many of

the houes and just leave the street lights on which gives a nice effect of night.

We have added another level slighly higher than the main level.

One feature that we always incororate is a 'town square'. This will be the area for this year. In this area will be the

town park with dry creek, a bridge, town Christmas Tree, fencing around, subway entrance, etc.

Once again, additional buildings are set. The present positions of buildings may not be the actual location. We try various

configurations during setup.

You might have noticed the speaker under the top level. We have a surround sound system from our older computer

that is being used this year. We use a variety of CDs during the season. Some have music and animal sounds others just

music.
