The spur line that is shown in these pictures will
service the C.A. Scott Cattle Ltd. Ranch located
just to the east. You can follow the construction of
this line over the next couple of weeks.
The switch has been installed
Rocks on either side of the roadbed is to prevent erosion
from the heavy rains we experience. Top soil has been placed
between the rocks and will be allowed to settle. We
are expecting heavy rains this week which should help. Once that
has taken place, ballast will be added.
This picture shows where the line will continue over
the road. It will come back as far as the tree to the left center
and
curve back around near the barn.
Here is an overhead shot of the area. A girder bridge
will be installed where the track overhangs the rock. The spur
will then continue on the bottom side of the picture
and curve to the left towards the barn
An overhead view from the mainline/switch
A down to trackside shot shows that some ballast has
been placed near the switch
The following pictures were taken on April 29, 2007
Track has been installed and ballast spread. Some additional
leveling will be done as well.
Shot taken from near the end of the spur whick is at
middle left of picture.
This shows where the bridge will be installed. We hope
to have it in by the end of the month (April). The road will
dip down and under the bridge.
This shows the end. We may extend it on around closer
to the barn.

Bridge has been built and installed. Spur is complete.
Check back soon for further updates on this area.
