We decided to take a drive today, down the mountain before the trees

started changing color. Once Fall arrives, we will make the run again and

post additional pictures.

This music hall is still alive and well in West Fork, Arkansas.

This bridge has now been restricted to a weight limit of 3 tons. In the right hand corner you can see cement barriers that prohibit large vehicles from crossing. In the distance

you can see a farmer baling hay. This bridge is located between Greenland and West Fork, Arkansas.

Looking up this Hummingbird seems to be saying "I don't think I can drink it all'! Taken through a window at Artists Point on Hwy 71 in Winslow, Arkansas

The picture above and below, taken at Artists Point is part of the Boston Mountain Range

From Artists Point we drove into the metro area of Winslow, Arkansas where the following pictures were taken

The train stop in Winslow for the Arkansas Missouri Railroad Excursion Train

The original station that stood here has been gone for years. The only reminders is the date stone inscribed '1882'

The Winslow United Methodist Church is nestled up the hill from the main street .

Downtown Winslow and just across from the train stop

From Winslow we headed to Chester. Once a booming lumber town all that remains are a couple of churches, homes and a few businesses on the main street

Well, we sat in the truck and had our picnic lunch as it started raining. From here we drove back to the interstate and headed home.

We hope you enjoyed these pictures from our general rural areas.
